Project brief

AgentSlate overview

AgentSlate came from a simple situation: my coding agents were visible on a monitor, but the keyboard was out of reach. I wanted the small inputs needed to keep work moving without opening a full remote desktop or exposing a general shell.

What it is

A focused control surface for coding agents already running and visible in Herdr on a Mac.
A status dashboard and remote keypad; terminal output stays on the Mac.

What I built

A native SwiftUI dashboard for sessions, agent states, target selection, and tactile controls.
A Rust bridge with one-time pairing, revocable credentials, and Tailscale-only listeners.
Guarded Accept and Deny shortcuts plus editable voice instructions that can be reviewed before sending.

Where it's going

Broader real-device validation across agent tools, reconnects, and long-running sessions.
Keep the control surface narrow and watched-screen-first instead of turning it into a remote terminal.
